I don't know or want to know what program was being singled out, but since one name has been mentioned, I will say, unequivocably, that CBC does eveything the right way. I am not connected to the program or have had any family or relatives connected with them either. But I know from people that I trust that it is far above any speculation from anybody the great service they have provided to all of the players that have used their facilities and the instructors they provide.

They are far beyond any reproach that it is hard for me to imagine anyone having anything negative to say about CBC. To me, that's like attacking Santa Clause....no reason to.

I've known Lefty for a long time. He's an outstanding young man and inadvertently made a point that appeared to be specific. If you knew him, you would find him to be a positive individual and a great supporter of amateur baseball.

Sometimes the typed word does not always reflect the way you meant..believe me, it happens to me quite often. I'm not trying to put words in his mouth, but I believe Lefty was alluding to "some" organizations taking credit for the development of a player, when a player just glanced through the program. But having a strong understanding of all the programs in the Charlotte area, I have yet to find one that does that. In fact, some don't even mention players that played in their program for years, yet still moved on to the "next level".

Most of the posts on this thread are a heathly discussion about someones experience. Im sure everyone on this board has seen the good, the bad and the ugly sides of being part of a showcase/HS team. It is unrealistic to think some posts are not going to stirr controversy and opinions. Its life. But to come in and make a sarcastic comment on someones post without being part of the discussion is ridiculous. It looked to me like LClefty was simply trying to get back on focus. If this became a rant and rave im sure there would be plenty to say on both opinions.
    Keep it classy.

If you have been in this game long enough, we all will see that our kids have had help from a lot of people. the coaches they have played for, the parents who have taken your child to practice or picked him up from practice because you could not get there in time. Depending on what part of the state you from you will find that the baseball community is small and our kids have usually have had some contact one way or the other with each other. If you go through the six degrees of baseball you will probably see that every showcase team or baseball center, etc have intersected in some way and been a part of the player development. There have been many kids that i have read about going to or signing with a college. The ones i know i am proud of and the ones i don't know i am proud of, because the work that everyone has done has made it possible for our child to get a education and the chance to continue playing baseball.
