    I'm not sure what "publicity stunt" it could possibly be, but...I'm with you. It bothers the crap out of me. So raw that they needed to be taught to wear baseball gloves??? they'll be ready in 3-4 years? Uhh...give any lefty kid who "topped out at 85" 3 or 4 years with superior training and won't you get the same result? This is absurd.

    I hate this for the same reason I hate that performance enhancing drugs has filled the major leagues with Latin American players. I have zero problem if foreigners are truly better, but there are American kids killing themselves to be professional baseball players and the Pirates sign a couple of GAME SHOW CONTESTANTS?
