I think you basically have same team that lost to FHS by 20 ...3 times last year?

scfan, I agree that South is good, however, don't base your season on a win over West. Not exactly the competition of the ACR, McDowell and Freeom's

Nope. They added a very good point gaurd (who could be our best player who is a lot like Ford was as a freshman) plus all those freshman and sophmores from last year are a year older and have some experience. Don't get me wrong Freedom is very good and will be the team to beat but SC is pretty good too with tons of talent and scoring and it's no secret their weakness will be inside and rebounding. I think they are are still one year away from being dominate but I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the conference this year. Still have to get past Freedom and Mcdowell. Plus ACR is always good so you never know any of those 4 could win the conference and any of those 4 could finish 4th in this league.

bettter comparison is FHS vs. Roberson or Forestview.

Central D- You would have to agree that SC is normally unknown until conference because they normally play a weak non-conference schedule, where McD and FHS traditionally go to quality scrimmages and test themselves early.
The SC--Forestview on Dec 8th game will define where you are because if you can play with them then you are right- you will contend.

You are correct about Burns, but we play TC Roberson who can easily win the 3A title this year two times. Beat them at our place and play them next Tuesday aup there. We play Forestview who had a record of 61-3 over the past couple of years. We beat them by 15 at our place and have a rematch on December 20th at the Bobcats arena.

Now we do play Burns twice, Crest twice, and Asheville once.

We can compare schedules with teams in our conference all day if anyone wants. Only McDowell who plays TCR twice is even close. South plays Forestview once I think. Our x-mas tourney will be fairly tough and probably end up with a Freedom-McDowell matchup.

Our scrimmage schedule was one of the best in the state- which enables us to be ready to open the season with back to back games with Forestview and TCR

Without a doubt Freedom should be the preseason favorite in nw4a. Not sure how we ended up higher than them in the sweet 16? Still I like our chances this year and love them for the next few years. Yes central-d we are young which is good and bad. Still a little short on experience but look how long we will have them. Not bad being the underdog to Freedom. We have nothing to lose. As for preseason We play Forestveiw twice. Have to play the county teams twice. One thing to remember won't do us much good to beat Freedom and lose to Wat. or EB. Better take it one game at a time. With the exception of AC any team in this conference can win any game
