Been hoping somone that saw game would comment or evaluate this game...its very unlike Dan or Tony to have a McDowell loss posted with NO comment. I heard McD was down by more than 20 in 3Q ???

It was a lot like the previous matchup...Roberson held a strong margin on the boards and we missed a good number of foul shots. Their second chance points and our lack of getting points at the line accounted for a lot. I also think playing 3 games in 4 days caught up to us after the 1st quarter. 15 was the final margin but it wasn't that close. And yes the lead was in the 20's at one time.

That said, the Lady Titans have gone 5-2 in non-conference play against some good teams. Not bad for the girls. I think the past three weeks is a good litmus test of how we will fare in conference play which starts on friday. Freedom and South Caldwell are IMO the only two others in conference that could have done as well as we did.

    Disappointing

I figured the watauga women's team would have beaten wilkes central by more than 20 points. There have been times this season when I have really thought they showed some potential but after the other night i just really dont know anymore. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens against west caldwell, hopefully they can pull out a win.

    GO WATAUGA!!!!!!

Watauga winning a state championship in women's basketball would be of monumental proportions...like "The Miracle on Ice" times 1 million. No offense dude, but you've drank a lil too much spiked egg nog.

Great to see you supporting your team. I love the attitude. While Watagua is much improved not quite to a state championship level yet. Keep on pulling for them though you never know
