I am looking for a book or DVD that is simple and to the point on how to help improve speed in say the 60 yrd dash.

Does anybody have anything that has helped them in the past?? Unfortunately, we don't have a speed coach around here.

    Thanks

you could ask your track coach for help. Or just climb over a fence with a mean dog.

    now I'm REALLY worried

Plate, I had the same idea as your second one. I recall Juan Pierre being interviewed after winning the WS with the Marlins. The reporter asked if he had ever run faster than he did when he came in from center field after the final out. Pierre said "no" then he thought for a second and said "yeah, one time... there was this really BAD dog after me... I ran faster then!"

I concur....google Sparq Training. You will find a lot of information about explosive running.

gMan--- you are scaring me. That's twice today that you either understood PD or were thinking alike :rotflmao:

    No worries G-man

It is an honor to finally have someone that can think beyond the 5th dimension. Welcome aboard. Question the normal. And remember you can now sell your own translator.

Go to your local sheriff department and talk to the K-9 unit. Tell them you want to improve your speed. Go to a field or park and let the officer put a bag of weed into your pocket and give you a head start and let the dog chase after you. Nothing will make you run faster than a 100 pound German Sheppard chasing after what it believes to be a suspect.
