i hope your right about us (SC) Baseball is pretty much a way of life here. Kind of hurts other sports espcially basketball but as long as things stay like they are we will always be a contender. Not completely sure of exact numbers but out of 30 some years we have 20 some conference championships. Only team that can claim that kind of record is Reynolds in football. That said we have lost a lot of good players over the last two years but have a few good ones replacing them. This year will be a year when we are gonna have to really work to win the conference. Will have some good pitching and defense will always be solid with Parham coaching. The offense will have to come around this year. I'm sure a lot of work has been done over the winter but we have some major holes to fill on offence and even defense. we lost 1st, and 2nd base, catcher and a couple outfielders, our no. 1 pitcher and a lot of foot speed. gonna be a fun year to see how things develop

I think East Burke will be higher up than 4. With Rhoney they have a good shot.

Watagua could just be the team to beat this year. I think we are pretty much an unknown as to what we will have. Won't be bad and could be very good but will have to wait and see.

I agree with bubba. I look for EB no lower than 3rd and maybe higher. They have alot back from last year's 2nd place team. And with Rhoney that gives you a chance to win every time he takes the hill. Really hope he plays legion ball. Where did Alexander finish last year and why the drop off for Reynolds?

I thought this board was to promote HS baseball, not spread gossip and in- house business like women in a quilting circle. daddypatsz4rqm sounds like a disgruntled parent. Coach Craig has been running a quality program for years, and dissing him anonymously on a message board is just wrong.
The truth is Reynolds will be fine. Like always they will probably get the best pitcher for every team they play. The coaches in the league know not to take them for granted. They have a team filled with experienced Juniors and Seniors. Last year they had to play several Sophomores and Juniors, with only two Seniors that had significant playing time. This will help them compete well in the tough NW4A. Like most teams in the league they will go as far their pitching will take them.
That said I think EB will have a very strong team. Their pitching should be dominating and they swing the bats well. Watauga has A D1 prospect on the hill and another one behind the dish, and they mash the ball. I think that match-up will tell the tell in the conference this year.

I agree, Tipton was a great coach. As far as the conf goes I would have to say that WHS will be the frontrunner to win it. South will be at the top behind Penny's arm. I would have to think that Renyolds will have a strong year as well. I know they lost thier Second baseman and a first baseman.

Alexander will be a tough team. They lost some key players but they will have some speed throughout the lineup this year. East Burke I don't believe to be to strong. But anytime their number 1 is on the mound they will have a chance at winning.

That just what I heard. I believe the kid was the 1st baseman from the jv team last year.
