I would try free team sites like Eteamz and League Lineup then search fastpitch softball and then the state of NC and go from there. You still won't get them all but you can get quite a few from there. There is also a free site avalable with ASA registration for teams.

I have a 13 yr old daughter from Durham who is an OF. She is well known in the area, great defense but hits in spurts. She starts on a good team, but hits near the bottom of the order. I am looking for a new team or a "B" or "C" level team where she can hit near the top of the order. Just trying to find the right team for a good fit.

suggest you pm WndMillR, as he has a pretty good idea of teams in the Raleigh/durham area

    Here you go

    check out www.teamtfs.org/teams.php

Robert Powell is the head dude, great guy with a great head on his shoulders.

Practice in Granville County, pretty sure.

You might want to consider private hitting lessons, also. As a matter of fact, there is a clinic at Grand Slam in Raleigh this month. There is still plenty of time before the season starts to work on hitting. Most of the time the only problem with hitting is lack of practice. After you learn the fundamentals you've got to put in the swings.

If she can't make it to lessons the very least she should do is lots and lots of self-toss hitting. You can do that with balls, socks, beans, etc. At least 150-200 swings 2 or 3 times a week.

Tell your daughter to not worry about the spot in the order. Making the most of the opportunites you have is what matters. The hitting instruction is a very good bet.
