NW4A Week 3 Schedule:

yes it was a high school career high for ali ford. can someone please honestly name a player who is a better pure shooter and floor general than ali.against tuff competition and the game in the air she takes over against acr..27 2nd half pts in 16min of play. . . congrats ali on a career high 43 pts in a big win for freedom.

 

not so fast rocketdad09. . .mcdowell may have some input on who is conf. champions this year so be easy. . .i do agree that ford is the best player in the nw4a. people need 2 understand that freedom is 14-0 so i promise other teams need zero motivation 2 want 2 knock them off.i say they stumble once or twice but if ford continues 2 amaze it could be scary for all.

 

Congrats to Ford on her career high. I hate it came against ACR, but man was she amazing. Hats off to her coaches as well, they do a great job making sure she is in position to take over when necessary, and making sure the other players know the ball goes through Alli each time down when the game is on the line. I am not trying to complain about ACR's coaching, but I think in the 4th Whitney Brinkley and Karlee Taylor needed to have more touches. Some of ACR's youth showed late in this one.

has quite a few 9th and 10th graders playing varsity this year due to many 11th and 12th graders going to Draughn. Weren't some AC folks on here not to long ago fussing about how bad Hickory's varsity runs up the score on them.

It seems that more than one school in our conference have many 9th and 10th graders on the varsity teams. AC has one 10th grader on varsity. I hope that JV's at AC will mean future success at the varsity level. We do have some girls at that level who are playing in the spring and summer. However, there is still work to be done AC.

 

after that game a rocket fan gave Ali a great compliment "thats the most unselfish 43 pts you could ever see" noting that her teamates were given opportunities by passes all game but when they were struggling she took over and made sure of the win.

 

Back to Back 28 point loses! I guess the girls are going backwards instead of forwards. What a waste of talent!

 

They do have some talent especially the #21 girl. I bet she scored 25+ against McDowell. The biggest problem I saw with Watauga was the seemed to over pass the ball instead of shooting the outside shot. They still played hard the whole game. They will get better.
