I've been following this league for years, but this was my first game this year. I was impressed with the Lady Titans after all I had heard, good or bad. They have good size, played good D, rebounded well, and Ward is a very good player. South has some good players, and the Sharp girl shot the ball well toward the end. It would be hard for them to beat McDowell because of being undersized, however.

I don't know how EB has beaten these 2 because I haven't seen them. I also don't know how the rest of the matchups will play out, but I doubt you'll see McDowell in any 4th or 5th place like someone had posted.

I agree. After seeing everyone but AC Reynolds and Alexander I would have to say Mcdowell could be the best team in the conference. Their defense is outstanding especially in the first half when they had 8 players on the floor. lol. Not an excuse though I think Mcdowell would have probablly won even if the officiating had been decent in the first half.
One thing I don't understand was our offensive strategy last night. We never even tried to penetrate or work the ball in and never tried to run on Mcdowell which I'm sure we could have. We went down and let them set up their D, threw the ball around the perimeter till we got a open 3 and took the shot. You let Mcdowell set up that defense and they'll beat anyone in the conference. They will definately finish top 3 or better this year

I know it hurt South some that the one girl (Minton?) turned her ankle, and wasn't able to return. I think they should have gone inside too, but it's the land of the trees in there. That is a tough half court D. Corpening covers a lot of ground out on the point.

Let me say this, Coach Fox{Amber}is not the type of coach that will intentionally run the score up on an opponent to disgrace them. McDowell runs into this same problem every year when they play teams like Burns. You have to run you're offense even if it's the 3rd string. And if they are good enough to score you let them.
