You know, after reading a few of Gman's posts it sounds like he's been around the bases a time or two......:bdent:

the sad thing is, as you get older, the first thing to go is the legs. These days, at my age and being married for 25 years, 1st base is a stretch! Can't "leg 'em out" like I used to... and the ump (my wife) would call me out if I did happen to beat the throw.

    Mrs. Gman at her best

The most successful female umpire was Pam Harrington, who spent 13 years in the minor leagues, including seven in Triple-A. She almost broke into the majors—calling two years of spring training games at her peak—but she was dropped in 1989, supposedly for ejecting too many players and being married to Gman13. She later sued the major leagues, the Triple-A Alliance, and the Baseball Umpire Development Program for sex discrimination. In her book You've Got to Have Balls to Make It in This League, she says there's nothing worse than being married to a showcase baseball geek.

I am the Head baseball coach at Rockingham CC in Wentworth NC and i know how difficult it is for us to keep contact with all of our recruits. if we had a limited roster space. we would try to call but by far i am sure the college is not saying "we dont need you " becuase they are keeping the young man on their radar and still wanting to be able to recruit him this spring. I know most of the NCAA schools have dead periods where there is NO contact allowed and that may be the situation for this young man, but if he is interested in JUCO ball please Pm me his info Id love to take a look this spring.

I just don't have a response... she don't look half bad though... I'd spit "tobaky juice" on her any day! (actually I don't chew or dip so I'll have to get Coach27 to be my "Designated Spitter")

Welcome aboard TBR, coach. We have quite a few college coaches that post and triple the number in how many read. Once the HS season starts, I think you'll find TBR helpful in keeping up with players' progress of potential recruits you are looking at.
