14u fastpitch team in NC

why do folks think that batting 9th means you are no good?? 9th is the 2nd leadoff! if you have a girl who is fast and can get on base in the 9 spot then what a plus ,cause who bats after her the leadoff and then when she gets on you will have alot of speed on base and speed is hard to defend!

 

exactly right Jarrettfan. No#9 is a very important position in the lineup to set the table...

Last time I checked, the first inning is the only time an athlete is sure she will lead off...

I played on allot of teams where I batted clean-up, and lead off the 2nd inning...

Look for your name in the line-up... don't worry about where...

i was just reading this post and i agree with your final decision, there's nothing wrong with hitting 9th especially if she's starting. i think it always helps to play up. u get pushed harder.
