I always value your opinion Phreak. #24 says lets get together and test your lighter is better theory.
I strongly urge all the girls I work with to get stronger. Most of them are older and work with personel trainers or strength coaches. I don't suggest the kids swing heavier bats just for the sake of swinging a heavier bat.
There is a method to the madness, as the kids get bigger, stronger and quicker, they can handle a little more bat. Most actually prefer it and do it on their on.
I agree that a 27 oz bat would be unusual for most batters, but as #24 developed more strength and quickness, she was able to handle more bat. As I stated before bat size and weight is realative, as they get bigger and stronger they can handle more. Years ago, -12 and -12.5 bats were common at the highest levels of play, it seems to me that you see more -8's and -9's now. Maybe a trend ?

How good is Stephon McQueen? I got his e-mail and phone #, but he never sends an e-mail out or returns calls. I want to get my daughter in to work out with him especially for the price he has set up now. Anyone know the best way to contact him?

Stephon and Barry are very good! My DD and several members of her team have been going to them twice a week for a couple months now. The results are very noticeable not only in their core strength but also in their confidence. They will certainly be ready for High School and travel ball this season!

As for contacting him, sounds like you have tried the usual avenues so I got nothin'. Am sure someone one on the board (maybe WndMillr or fishman) can help with that.

    Walk in the door...

Stephon is great in developing a program to get you stronger....
He is very busy, best way to get to him, is to walk in and see him...
    His schedule is getting full..

If you want to experience what he does, I suggest you enroll in my 2 day hitting camp next weekend... One of the stations will be a strength and conditioning station with Stephon and Barry.. Few spots still open..

I know a team that has been working with him since October. Can't wait to see them swing the bat...
We have several kids from the Lady Blue's ( Rodney T's team) driving in just to work with our training staff and him...

My DD plays for WndMillr and I can vouch for what he says about these 2. I have seen a remarkable difference. Core strength is better, quikness has improved. As for the clinic at Grand Slam on the 24th & 25th, I highly recommend it. The instruction is great and with the addition of the strength station, the girls will be even more ready for competition than ever before.

My DD is 13 yrs old. I really want to develop her strength and flexibility. Do you all think she is too young to work with Stephon or is this a good age to start?
