I'm sure he was being sarcastic. Moose is a fantastic guy and has a great baseball mind. The most impressive thing about him is that he doesn't show up to watch just his son play, he wants all of these kids to succeed.

Obviously, all surgery is invasive to the point that the skin has to be broken. What I meant and probably should have said using a more clear term, was that the surgery he had was more like when someone has their knee scoped. I think they were probably looking around making sure nothing was wrong structurally with the rotator cuff and labrum and all they found was the was the impingment. I meant non-invasive to the point that the integrity of the rotator cuff, labrum and other structural support did not have to be compromised by any kind of reconstruction.

Gotcha Travis. I've been through the surgery thing with my son(scope) and have been curious if it's just the scope poking around that causes most of the disruption, or in his case, the repair(labrum). I've never had the opporunity to ask the surgeon. I can only deduce that the soreness caused by receiving a shot is the same sort of invasion, and is miniscule compared to the scoping. Whatever he had I wish him well.

tj21,,, Pitching For Mooresville will be the main ?. I just think the kids they have will get it done. They just do not have the big name stud that will blow it by you. With the transfer out we will miss his bat but i still think Mooresville will be in the hunt. I look foward for that East Rowan hotdog. See you soon. I think Mooresvilles first conf. game is againts West Rowan so we will see very soon.

Ian Walters and Aaron Meadows will probably anchor the rotation, both are seniors. Brett Compton would make an ideal closer in my opinion he has a lively arm, another senior. Chris Bonaventure is a returning varsity player who showcased his best stuff at North Iredell last year and is a very capable junior. Classmates Wes Dumford and Jeffrey Mason are also solid pitchers, with Wes being as crafty as they come. Mooresville still has solid depth on the mound, with a capable one-two punch. With that being said, I doubt they can put up the same numbers that Aubrey and Beaver did last year. I also think they will lose a little pop on offense. They lost basically four starters from last season, not couting the ballhawk in CF, in Aubrey, Markofski, Crucitti, Beaver/Mc, and I think you can expect a slight drop off offensively at every position except 1B. I expect a top four finish and for Ian Walters and Billy Nantz to have break out years.

This conference should be one of the top 3a in the state.

East rowan will be very good. shive will be ready to go. ijames brothers were great for salisbury last year. hightower knows what hes doing.

West rowan wil be atop the conference also with the additions of crucitti and sheperd plus michlaet, dj webb, dylan andrews. there run support should be up there

mooresville always has talent every year they bring up good players. there jv team def brings some bats up to go along with dylan west, nathan abraham, aaron meadows ect. aaron will be a decent #1 with walters #2 both seniors leaders. look for bonaventure to be the one to suprise ppl kids great with pressure on the hill and nantz to be the big bat kid broke out on junior legion. they will def get the run support to make a run.

lake norman brings alot of senior leadership to the plate this year making a big playoff run last year before being knocked out by east rowan. obviously on the hill the imo stud of the area lefty lomascola. he can shut anyone down. to go along with valueable innings from ross whitley as the one-two punch. scotty williams and tyler lewis to add some innings on the hill. kevin gradert led the team as a junior batting .368 great leadoff. watch for manser to have a breakout year. they got there main catcher back in joe faist.

nw dont no much about them besides they have a few bats coming up from jv. one a power hitting 3rd baseman to go along with great player hayden untz who is back from surgery.

statesville made alot of additions by bringing in players from west irdell. they should take a few teams by suprise who take them for grantite.

west irdell i dont see them having much this year.

north irdell has tyler jordan they lost there ace in johnson.

south rowan will be around a 5 seed they have blake houston and the big stick maverick miles look for him to have a breakout year. dont sleep on him great kid with the stick.

dont know much about carson besides they have little snow who can provide some innings. but they did loose there main player in sheperd.

it will be a good battle between er wr mooresvillle and lake norman. look for the conference to come down to head to head matchups between the four. all will make a run in the playoffs.

ITS CLOSE TO BASEBALL SEASON FOLKS!!!!!!!
