McDowell beat Marion Christian Academy tonight in non-conference action...I think the score was 84-57.

24 points for Brandon Dockery to lead McDowell. This has been a much-talked about game here in the local community. Nice crowd for a late season non-conference tilt, first time ever (to my knowledge) that we have played another in-county school. The Knights hung in there during the 1st quarter, they hit a lot of shots. The pace for a while was pretty frantic, I assume MCA plays that style in the private school league...the Titans pulled away in the second quarter getting the lead well into double digits.

Any updates on conference action tonight?

Along with Marion Christian, we have another private school New Manna. I don't think both school holds much more than 100-150 each.

WHS and Freedom was a battle!!! Both teams gave their all and left it on the floor. Congrats to the Patriots and Sam Ford. For had 38 on 8 three pointers. He was on fire. He buried the Pioneers when they were up in the 3rd. If it had not been for his awesome shooting effort WHS would have won.

Ethan Kincaid of Freedom did not play very much. Esp in the 2nd half.

Folks, WHS is no pushover, men or women.

Finally, I know Freedom fans will come on here and talk about the officiating and it was pretty bad both ways. However it did not cost anyone the game or give anyone the game. You have to understand the reason that one ref called every foul was because his two partners never blew the whistle. He had no help.
