I am wondering what is going on in the CPC? Have not seen anything on here about the CPC. Who will be the dominate teams? I know North Davidson should be tough. Along with Mount Tabor. West Forsyth is always tough. I am wondering if any of the others have anything for these three? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I always like to hear Catamount's opinion on the conference. He is always "dead on"

North Davidson flushed Levi Michael (UNC), Ty Hanover (LSU), Zach White (WakeForest), Clay Watson (Catawba), Ben Redmond (4 year starter Catcher), Jarrett Albright, Matt Nifong, and Aaron Carter.

I know there's still talent in the program, but if the Knights are still 'tough' this season, Mike Meadows should be hired by Steinbrenner.

like always, the cpc will be tough again this year. north davidson lost alot of great players but the cupboard aint bare. tabor is going to be very good with batts and parker on the mound. davie will be strong as usual and reynolds will be right there in the mix. north forsyth is under a new/old coach and will compete. west should be in the mix.
like every year, there may be 2-3 teams still in the mix for the title, the last week of the season. should be a tough and fun year. :N1yeeaah:

    IMO

West & Tabor will be front runners. ND IMO has lost the cental core of their team. You cannot just fill those spots with that type of talent. It will be intresting to see who steps up to fill those cleats. Agreed they do have a good stock but how will they handle themselves in the big games? Those players that have moved on held down keys spots and were battle tested. Will the next group have the chemistry needed? Alot of questions posed last season about playing time will be answered this season. Again, not a hater just pose the questions.

The CPC will be very competitive again this year. West Forsyth will have 3 very good arms in Coyle, Myers, and super sophomore Griffin who topped out at 94 mph last weekend at the showcase at Surry. I am sure they have some other arms as well. Coach Pope seems to reload every year and they will be very tough with Holt, Alberts, and alot of other good position players. Mount Tabor will be strong in the pitching department with Parker Thomas, Mat Batts, Turner Simpson, and Garrett Hickman who all are seniors. They will return Wrege, Kahler, Morton, and some others from their JV team from last year. North Davidson lost some very good talent last year but do not count out Coach Meadows and his staff. They will have 1 of the top freshman in the area in Lassiter (Brother of Garrison), Jordan Slate, and the lefty that has signed to play Divsion 1 baseball. They had a good JV team last year and they will come ready to play. Davie will return several starters from last year in Vernon, Cartner, Shelton Howard, and they will maybe have Ryan Carter back for his senior year. They also have some very good young arms and they will be ready to play. Reynolds returns their catcher in Connor Andrus and left handed pitcher Charles Anthony and they could be competitive as well. North Forsyth has a new coach and will not be overlooked. This championship will probably come down to the last week as Catamount stated earlier. Only 17 days until the 1st day of tryouts. Let's get it on!!!

Coach Herndon has a few 2011's that I would expect to contribute this year on varsity. Good crop of yung guys at Davie Co.

    Tabor

Tabor has talent coming up to varsity that will help fill the void from graduating seniors. Tanner Vogler (C), Will Lawson (Inf), Montana Dawson (OF) Collin Macintosh (P), Jamie Nunn (P), Jon Gordon (Inf) and North Forsyth transfer, Nick Flachofsky (Inf - P). They all bring experience having played together on the W-S American Legion team this past summer.

    North Forsyth

Coach Bowles brings years of coaching experience. His demeanor will be a welcome change. He is a player's coach. Hopefully he will do whatever it takes to also field a JV team since last year was the 1st time ever North did not have one.
