    ABSOLUTE STUD TRANSFER!!!!!

"Stud transfer" in my listing of Wilson Fike was in no way meant as disparaging. And BTW, RM has another transfer who could wind up contributing significantly.

I'm just playing with you SoutherNo1. Rocky mount, Wilson Fike, & Northern Nash are all going to be real good this year! The NEW 6 race is going to be exciting! There are no real secrets in Eastern North Carolina baseball. For instance, that other transfer you're probadly talking about is Michael Whitehead, a transfer from Hobgood Academy. He's a top-notch middle infielder that can also hit like there's no tomorrow. I guess he's going to battle someone for a starting position. It's going to be hard to sit him on the bench. He's a player!

Is that the Whitehead kid that played with the Greenville Hurricanes way back?

Wossa can certainly vouch for teams in the Ragsdale area, if he says include SouthWest Guilford, mark it down.

From Ragsdale, if you travel south into the North & South Piedmont Conferences, this argument has already begun and I'd say all 4 of the top teams reside in the NPC: (in no particular order)

    -East Rowan
    -Mooresville
    -West Rowan
    -Lake Norman

Obviously East went to the state finals last year, and with what they return, and what they added, they should definitely begin the year ranked top 5 in state. JMO

Can't speak of the mountain teams or teams in the Gaston/Cleveland areas.

Yea, Wossa is correct. SW Guilford should be very good.

    Reagan

Ragsdale, East Rowan, Southwest Guilford, Randleman, South Point all should be good teams in the West. Do not count out Reagan {Pfafftown, NC}.

Reagan has a solid team capable of going all the way. Kyle Dobis (1B-P), Stephen Shelton (2B-P), Andrew Parker (SS), Brandon Culbreth (3B-P) or Austin Blake (3B-P), Tommy Dobbins (C), Casey Bost (OF), Drew Ausley (OF-P) are all solid starters that will make Coach Mabe's job easier.

Parker played with Prohelific in the fall, Blake just committed to ECU and Dobis, Shelton Culbreth and Bost all played for the W-S American Legion.

    As long as

the first few rounds are one and done dont count on anything. Well , other than the fact that on any given night anyone in the playoffs can be beat in a one game situation.
