Reynolds

Hopefully Connor Andrus returned to Reynolds after having gone to Veritas. He will be solid behind the plate for Reynolds.

 

North Davidson

If Zach Joyce continues what he did in the Hi-Toms Fall League he should be an effective starter on the mound for North Davidson. It's hard to get a lot of mound time when 2 seniors were ahead of him. His bat and speed on the bases will make him a team leader. Ben Redmond's cousin, Zach Redmond (C), transferred to ND from North Forsyth.

 

West forsyth- will find away to win it Coyle , Myers, Griffin , Holt
Mt. Tabor- Probably the most talent in conference Thomas,Batts, wrege,Simpson. Morton,
Davie County- Carter, Cartner, The 2011's your talking about Watson,
Newman,
North Davidson- looses alot but will compete
North forsyth- great coach
Reynolds still looking to improve

 

Glad to see north had a coaching change, i think. Anything's an improvement over the last 2 years. A lot of kids getting short changed over there after
Lowe left. Hopefully Bowles will be more than just a "players coach", those kids need leadership, discipline, and a totally new mindset after 2 disappointing years, no JV program in 2008, and multiple transfers. A far cry from the North program we were used to seeing as far back as the 80's.
Not so sure Bowles "stepped down" before Lowe took over either, glad to see that the AD thinks its all a joke. He was quoted in the paper saying that "Bowles was a phoenix and was on a diet". Typical of the attitude at NF in the recent past. Put the black back on the uniform and lets get serious.

Believe me...Lowe did not want to leave the program. If he could have remained, NF will be just as competitive as before.

didn't mean to imply Lowe did anything wrong, wouldn't dare, just saying that the time frame for everyone involved left something to be desired and the program has been in a tailspin ever since. there is talent at NF.

West looks to be the team to beat with Holt committed to ECU,Griffin to UNC, Myers to Lander, Coyle to UNCA and Alberts might be the best overall player on the team. Tabor will be strong on the mound with Thomas, Batts, Simpson, Hickman and Flachofsky from North. Wrege, Morton and younger Vogler will have to have big years. They lost alot of offense from Vogler and Rodgman. N.Davidson lost many to graduation(Hanover,Michael,White,Watson,Redmond) but has Joyce and alot of young talent. Davie always competes and has good young talent such as Barber, Herndon and Watson. Reynolds with Andrus,Anthony will compete and North will play hard!

 

Ditto about Coach Lowe

Ditto your comments about Coach Lowe. He is a great coach and person. I am glad to call him a true friend. North Forsyth's loss and Surry's gain.

The principal was and still is the main problem ... we can only hope he really retires this year. It was obvious the principal wanted him gone. Coach Lowe thought the world of the players there and wanted to coach them. He even applied again before Surry came along.

Yes it has been 2 years of turmoil ... we must move ahead ... we will give Coach Bowles our total support ... the players just want to play the game of baseball without distractions and lack of support from the administration.
