You can not have Paul throw a bull pen for you. All you will see is him spotting up pitches. You can not pull out the gun and expect him to light it up. Simply not his thing. He is as Greg Maddux as they get. A thinking mans pitcher. Will spot you up and dice it up. Very competitive and simply does not give up a lot of hits. Fly ball, ground ball guy and punches his share of K's. His velo is not gonna be the thing. He simply pitches and gets you OUTS with LOW ERA.

So, forget having him throw a pen, leave the gun in the case, but do come to a live game and watch him pitch. Once he settles in, it's on. I think Adrey Kell found out... he is going to be a steal for someone who is not only getting a competitor, but a good young man and a superior student. Class or grades will never be an issue with this guy if he plays next level.

    David Coffey - Ragsdale

David Coffey, 6'3" 180 lbs. RHP. Has good velocity, I have seen him as high as 87, usually stays around 84-85. Has 3 pitches, FB, Curve, Change and can throw all 3 for strikes at will. He is a strike throwing machine. Excellent student, I mean REALLY GOOD STUDENT. He alone could pick up a team GPA. Highly inteligent on the mound. I think he has lots of upside potential. He has never worked with a trainer, coach, and any physical training he does on his on. Other than what instruction he gets from Ragsdale pitching coaches (who are very good) he has not had much help. Tremendous work ethic. Made some guest appearance with The HEAT Showcase team. Education will be a top priority for him. Has already been accepted at top academic schools.

    This is a great list

it amazes me when I see this type of ability still available at this time of the year. It makes you wonder but thats another story.

Paul McIntosh would be one of the first guys I would go get if I were looking for pitching at the next level. Why? Because he can pitch. He gets people out. He knows how to pitch. He has the ability to throw everything he has for a strike out of the same arm slot with the same arm speed. Quite honestly I think its a joke he has not been picked up yet. Not to mention he is a great student and a fine young man.

Frazier is a very good prospect as well. He has a great frame and is going to get bigger and stronger. I have seen Mitchell several times and he is a good one.

Wright from Person is very good as well. I also have seen him several times. He is a legit middle 80's guy with a very loose and projectable arm. All three of these young men can definitely get it done.

I had a D2 coach tell me one time while we were watching a very good pitcher at an Easter Tourney pitch "Yeah he's a good hs pitcher but he doesnt throw hard enough to pitch for us." The kid was sitting at 83-84 and painting. Then I go watch his team and he has guys throwing 86 mph cock shots who cant pitch and they are getting it handed to them.

Put the radar gun down guys and go get the pitchers that win.The guys that can throw ched and locate are already taken. The guys that can pitch , win , compete , that dont light up the gun are still available. These are the guys that will help you win. The ones that throw hard but cant pitch "well havent you already tried that one , hows that worked out for you?"

Taylor Atkins - 2009 RHP Northeast Guilford

Hate to do it to you RJ - but Taylor Atkins last nite at his throwing evaluation from his throwing program he did not throw one pitch under 86, and he hit 89 several times.

It's every year, isn't it? I see players being offered and I go, "are you serious?". I mean I'm glad for the kid, but question what that school was seeing. Then you have kids that are "gamers" begging to get an opportunity.

    It's amazing!!!
