Coach 27 is exactly right. Polls mean nothing other than a sense of recognition for your hard work. But I'll give myTop 10 a shot:
    #1 Rocky Mount
    #2 East Rowan
    #3 Ragsdale
    #4 Wilson Fike
    #5 DH Conley
    #6 Eastern Wayne
    #7 Northern Nash
    #8 Southwest Guilford
    #9 CB Aycock
    #10 Southpoint

Agreeing with KarlRocket, I can't wait for all the NEW-6 matchups between, NN-RM, NN-Fike, and RM-Fike. There are so many studs to watch in these games.

    The Bulleye's on Ragsdale!

I don't know anything about the western part of the state but after putting in all the stats and rosters from last season my baseball super-computer spit out Ragsdale High School as the most likely 3A State Champion. I'm going to put the big bulleye on Ragsdale so the rest of us can just play ball & not worry about it. Ragsdale has their entire roster back from last year including Nick McBride and DeSean Anderson. Ragsdale is coached by Donnie Maness, an old Barton guy, and resides in the Mid-Piedmont Conference.

Great. That's just what we wanted. Is this similar to the Sports Illustrated jinx?

True, we have everyone back. We had no seniors last year. But there are many variables, most of which have been mentioned here.

There are several other teams with mighty pitching out there. Look at Rocky Mount. Southwest Guilford has Ogburn and Hudgens and a couple of surprises. The boys down east with Rocky Mount are tough, N Nash, Wilson, Conley, E. Wayne, Aycock and such. Too many variables to pick someone. I would have thought Southeast Guilford would have been there last year and it didn't happen for them. You run up against one pitcher on a great day and you are gone.

I saw where some poll had East Rowan ranked 2nd, and West Rowan 4th. And I would agree with that.

Here's the thing about polls. They are fun, but they don't mean a thing. It's actually better to rank the teams in the East and rank the teams in the West and here is why: You could have the top 8 teams all be out east, but only one will be able to represent their area for the chance to go to the State Championship. Whatever happens out west does not affect that.

Ultimately, it's the best from the west vs the best from the east and those two teams will be ranked #1 and #2 at the end of the season.

Agreed, and also obviously no voter is going to rate highly a team that they're not familiar with. But actually this is why I like to see different people's polls because it tells me about other teams that I admit I don't know about.
