I don't know about everybody else but the sound of the aluminum bats and the fence rattling has got me pumped and ready for the season.. thought it would be nice to talk about who everyones thought on the teams to beat would be this year, a lot of teams has lost players but still have the same coaches, the same motivation.. let's try this by

    1A
    2A
    3A
    4A

how should teams like East Surry, Butler, ND, AC, NM,and others to lengthy to mention? try to give the top 3 or 4 teams in each category.

1A - East Surry is definitly the team to beat. North Moore will be very good again too. I hope the NCHSAA doesn't make these two teams play each other in the second round of the state tournament...they should meet much later than that.

East lost several key players but they just reload... super culture and feeder program and excellent coach.

I like the Saint Stephens/ Fred T Foard winner in the CVAC in 3A. Both have a ton of talent coming back along with outstanding coaches and parents involved in travel/ showcase ball.

In 4A, we all know Butler and North Davidson will be really strong. The sleeper is North Meck, added 2 more good pitchers/players to a talented team. They could be around at the end.

Nathan I'm thinking Saint will be the team to beat this year. We lost 3 starters and not sure who we will replace them with. Still should be fun this last year of the CVAC.. I hate we are switching to a new conference next year..

Saint Stephens was really good last year. Hickory Ridge went ten innings with them in the playoffs before they beat us 2-0. Hickory Ridge should be very good with Emma back on the mound. She is a warrior. They should have everyone back.

Isn't SW Randolph supposed to be real strong with the Senior pitcher back?

Northwood, out of the Mid State 2A, will be very good.

Don't count out West Forsyth. Went deep into playoffs last year only being stopped by Butler.
