Ktownrocks, good to see you back out at the ballpark yesterday too. You are right about the potential for a good year. If these guys stay healthy and play together, the pieces are there for them to have a good year.

Have also been impressed so far with the number of college scouts that Coach Stack has had at practices. He said he's not only interested in winning baseball games today, but also in helping each player pursue college baseball if they so desire, so far I think he has proven this in the contacts that he has made already.

    Need Directions

Can anyone give directions to the Kannapolis vs. Stanly County game on Wednesday May 21? I think I was there a couple of years ago but can't remember.

Go Hwy73 thru Mt.Pleasant to Albemarle, in Albemarle turn left on Hwy 52, Montgomery Park will be about a block up on your right. I believe Montgomery Park still has dirt infield, tennis courts, little league field all on same side of 52.

OK - I don't think I've been to this park yet, but this must be the one my wife has been to. Hopefully no rain tonight so they can play.

    Thank-you very much!

I heard a rumor that Stanley finally got a grass infield, but I could be wrong. I think thats all that park is missing, always hated to see those high choppers get over an infielders head.

Stanly County "does" now have a beautiful grass infield, saw it last night, someone did a very good job, ballfield looks so much nicer now.

Coach Stack is an amazing coach.I was honored to have him as my coach for my senior year in high school. He helps out each one of his players. If there is something you need help with or theres something you dont get, this man will go the extra mile to help you out and improve yourself. This man deserves the most respect and nothing but prayers.

For the record, I have met with Coaching staff and a few others to resign my position with Kannapolis Legion. Even though my sons were done playing legion ball, I had all intentions of staying involved as long as I can, but I've just had too many back problems the last 2 years, the latest causing me to miss nearly 3 weeks of work since early Jan.09. During my time with Kannapolis Legion, I've gotten to know many many different folks and there is no question that my getting to know all the players from ALBrown HS and NW Cabarrus HS was truly the highlights of my spending so many hours at the ballpark, I loved watching and getting to know all those young men over the years. Can only think of maybe 1-2 rough moments over the years, but I can honestly say that every single decision I made, every single dime that I raised, and every single minute that I spent at the ballpark,,, I did it with the team's best interest in mind. I never took a penny for all the hours and miles I spent working for the team, and I can sleep well knowing what I have done. I consider myself a proud papa who just had a golden opportunity to be in a position that I met so many other good people that otherwise I would never have met.

I truly wish Kannapolis Legion the very best and told the coaches of course I will still do anything that I can, if they ever need me.
