Butler will be a good team, I just don't think as good as a few others. Although you know better than I that the SW4A is always difficult to predict and anything can happen. (that's just saying you're a lot smarter baseball guy, not that you're a lot older!)

Anyone overlooking South Meck will have problems, they will finish somewhere in the top four. If the SM team can bond like the Butler team of two years ago, watch out. Weddington is the one that scares me the most in the SW4A. I know they have several players that have or will commit to play in college and no one is talking about them.

All the questions will be answered in due time and it will be fun to watch along the way. Hey Mincmi, how many hours left to the start of the season?

Weddington is going to be a very young team. Only 3 SR's, and 2 JR's, and 2 Soph returning from last years squad. Some very good young guys coming up, but only time will tell if they can make the leap and compete at the varsity level in the SW4A. If they can find the pitching they could compete for a win or two.

I think I know those 3 SR's, 2 JR's and maybe one of the sophomores. If so, that's a pretty good 6 or 7 players. Good Luck to you this season.

Please don't jump on me too hard, but this has quickly turned into who is best in Charlotte 4A, not sure that is what the original thread was intended.:invasion:

Im bringing this back to NW4A. I saw 2 teams from the NW4A in the predictions. Could South Caldwell and Watauga hang with those teams yall are talking about (AK and Providence). I know Watauga plays both. Is South Caldwell playing a tough nonconfrence schedule like Watauga is?

Hey tools, glad to see you posting. Two thoughts

    - People post only what they know and it's generally the teams(s) in the conference they follow.

    - It bothers me every year to read a post from someone that says, "nobody ever talks about ______" Doh!....then post something. There has never been any rules on TBR, that I recall, which refrains any poster to provide info or opinion about a school, team or player. In fact, that's what we hope for; Providing information on the team's playing.

If nobody wants to take the time to provide information on their conference or team....shame on them! But don't point fingers at the posters that do. I appreciate the fact that they did.

You still haven't answered my question. What team do you follow? Are you a parent? player?

As far as I know Doug is still at Riverside. A lot of talent there and he is a very good coach. TBR is the only place I have heard this RUMOR. So I have to dismiss it as merely a RUMOR that to my knowlege has no merit.

As such, it must remain a rumor until proven otherwise by someone in the know
