South Caldwell opens tryouts tomorrow at 3:00 PM, we are expecting a very good turnout, with that said, we have about five starters that are still playing basketball, and have a game tomorrow, conference tournment, so while we have several starters, and all the pitching, not envolved in BB, we will be looking at a lot of the JV slots this week, and have to get them ready to play, as we are part of the scrimmage in Morganton this coming weekend..

Our kids have had a great off season, have worked really hard, now is the time for them to put all that hard work into play.
One thing that appears to have helped the kids not playing other sports, is the time that they have spent in the weight room and time in "THE DUNGEON"

Good luck to all the kids, have fun, that is if tryouts can be FUN

My daughter just got aout of bed and came through the house talking about getting started today. I had to tell her it rained all night. She is not a happy camper. She says she has been waiting all winter.

    Go Pride!

My DD has never played for a school team. She's played REC and travel ball for two years. She was ready last year for the 8th grade Middle School team but tore her ACL at travel practice three weeks before tryouts. After two years of very hard work, a fantastic hitting instructor in CD, a fantastic conditioning coach in SMcQ and staff, all our friends at GS in Raleigh, her day has finally arrived. Good luck to all the DD's out there.

    Scal,
I hope she has a great season. I love the hard work stories. One of my DDs has been through alot but keeps working at it very hard. Last year she got to see some of the triumph at the end of her school season. I continually tell her I am not going to tell you that can't do something. Just look at what you accomplished. That should be the real reason we play this game.
