fcpirate...I'm very curious as to how you think that this new coach responded?

 

Whiteville High School

Good first night..cold went until about 8:30. Alot of passion and eagerness to return to the Whiteville of the past!

 

Sanderson tryouts

A record number 44 kids came out to tryouts. Thanks to Coach Todd Laughlin for getting the program turned around in two short years on the varsity level. Now kids want to play baseball again. There are tough decisions ahead when in years pass there were no decisions to be made as all that tried out made the team!!!

 

My guess is that this new coach told the parent- very politely (I bet this new coach's mother taught him to be polite) that he would decide when they would practice and when they would end and that if it was too tough for little billy then little billy may consider another form of after school activity.

Further I would think that this new coach probably told little billy that it would be in his best interest that his mother or father let little billy communicate with the coach from now on.

Well fc...I bet you probably hit the nail the right on the head. I can't imagine how in the world you would know exactly what was said. I also would put money on it that parents are now watching practice from the hill in left field. Man I would haved loved to see that conversation take place, the most beautiful thing about it from what I hear is the backup that this new coach recieved from his head coach!!

Said parent should just be happy that the conversation took place with the new coach and not the varsity HC. Now that would have been fun to watch.

 

As a player from the 1992 Sanderson team that went to the state finals, I am glad to hear that the program is going in a good direction.
