    Quality

    Quality coach with her heart and head in right place. If you want to play college ball and enjoy your school, take a look at Monica's opportunity. You will improve your game and who knows what the future may hold.:innocent:

    Recruiting is up to you

    The key to recruiting is taking responsibility yourself and you must be open minded! There is a place for everybody, but that place may not be the place you thought it was going to be!

    TY'S TOP 10 THOUGHTS ON RECRUITING!

    From the beginning of the 8th, no later than your 9th grade;
    #1 you must be active with e-mailing and calling college coaches yourself. Be self-promoting!
    #2 you must be active in attending camps and clinics at schools that interest you. Show them you are interested and what kind of player you are.
    #3 you need to attend individual events that allow you to showcase your own talent. Do not rely totally on team events.
    #4 you need to be on a travel team (no matter how good it is) that plays ASA and plays in ASA National Qualifiers and at least attempts to qualify for ASA Nationals. The 99% of the best players in college all have one thing in common; they played ASA travel ball when they were younger and most still do. If you want to be the best, you have to play with the best.
    #5 from 16u up, you need to be on a team that plays in team showcases with a coach who does not try to win the showcase games, but rather uses this time to showcase case ALL the players. From 16u and up, the team schedule must have a balance between ASA qualifiers and showcase events.
    #6 you need to be on a team with a coach that does not mind talking to college coaches and is comfortable in doing so.
    #7 no matter what your academic status, there is a school where you can go to and play softball and gain some higher education. You just have to look.
    #8 you need to understand that 75-80% of the recruiting process in girls fastpitch softball comes from what you do away from your high school and approach it that way.
    #9 the later in the process you are, the more active you have to be. Never give up on your dream!
    #10 AND MOST IMPORTANTLY! Do not take mine or anybody else's word for it, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL YOUR NEAREST COLLEGE COACHES AND ASK THEM!

    These are not my thoughts, people have given me this information. This is what I have learned over the past 31 years in speaking with hundreds of college coaches and asking them.
