Unless he has signed and nobody told me, in my opinion, one of the top 10 players in this state, Adam Church, Sr catcher- Watauga. The kid is an athlete, great size, a great hitter, a great teammate, a good student and a leader.

If there are other qualities a school looks for....clue me in. The only thing I can figure out is that college coaches are skeered to drive up in the mountains.

Now, if he has recently signed, I'll take back everything except the "skeered' part. Because if he has not committed, then there is no other explanation.

Seth Lumpkins JF Webb Can swing the bat!

Mitchell "Frank" Frazier JF Webb P One of the better one's in Mid State 3A. Overshadowed a little by Darroch and Groce, but a good find.

Sprandon Mahoney Sr @ Whiteville High School -CF, probably the fastest player in the state at 6.45 in the 60 yds and his biggest weapon is his bat. Very fast bat, will look ugly on a couple of pitches and then will unload on a ball. He has very quick hands! He has a gift for putting the bat on the ball. He will beat out most of the balls hit to the SS. Could be a DI player but grades will hold him back to Jr college.
Note: He hasn't swung a bat since last summer; still playing basketball. But the first game that he enters, he will go 3-4 with probably a double or triple. He's that talented; no practice needed with this kid, all natural! He batted .450 for the HS team last year. He could probably hit .750 if he gave more effort!

Phillip Williams Sr @ Scotland High School - LHP/1B, I'm very impressed with this kid. Not sure on radar but he has had two very impressive scrimmages. He has very good movement on all of his pitches. He should be able to give Scotland a lot of innings this year. But he is as impressive at 1B, he made an outstanding stop last night and threw the running out from the seat of his pants. Very good fielder and has power at the plate as well. Very good swing!
College coaches needing a good LHP should check him out early.

Joseph Shealy - 09 South Meck - All SW4A Conference. Top of class academically.

SC Panthers - Two years. 6'1"/205.

Big strong kid who is very solid. Throws hard with a solid curve and change. Can definately pitch at the next level.

Here is another young man that I'm astonished hasn't committed. There are so many schools looking for arms...it's hard to believe they haven't flooded to this young man. He has competed with an elite showcase team against some of the best talent in the country.....and plays in one of the toughest HS conferences in our state. I can't imagine what else he needs to do to showcase his skills.

Scouts like to see improvements from one season to the next, well this kid fits that description and still continues to improve.

    Andrew Parker - Reagan

jd05 ... Andrew Parker Reagan SS MIF all county All conference

He is still available but not for long ... a number of schools have their sights on him. I have watched him play for the past 9 years. Not only is Andrew a fine young person ... he is a leader ... and a WINNER ... players feed off his never give up attitude. The school that signs him will get a player who takes them to the next level ... and no coach will ever have to worry about his grades ... he excels with his academics.

SANDERSON in RALEIGH, NC - MAX GAGNON & KYLE WOOD

    SANDERSON – RALEIGH, NC
    MAX GAGNON & KYLE WOOD

Both of these players are 3 year starters and are outstanding young men who have been instrumental in Sanderson’s playoff runs the last two years.

    MAX GAGNON (C/P) -- 6’3” 205#. Consistent 1.9 pop & is a wall behind the plate. Last year hit 4 HR, 3 3B, 6 2B, and 26 RBI. Bat .389 with slugging at .722. On the mound clocked mid-upper 80’s. CAP 7 all-conference.

KYLE WOOD (CF) -- 6’ 175#. There is no better defensive CF out there. Timed 6.8 to 6.9. Tough out at the plate with a solid bat and can hit for extra bases. Can run the bases. CAP 7 all-conference.
