    Here are the pairings for the 4A State Sectionals which will be played on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday schedule...(home team in bold print)


    Sectional 1:

    I am still miffed at the playoffs.

    By my calculations, 43 4A teams are eligible for the Western playoffs and 32 teams get in and only 11 teams are eliminated.

    The SW4A has 7 teams in the playoffs. I don't understand this.

    I do like the Tuesday / Thursday / Friday scenario so that the third round games that involve travel can occur on a Friday night.

    Round 1 Matchups

    What are the best first round matchups?

    E Meck (22-4) vs AC Reynolds (18-8) looks like a good matchup based on records alone. Will this be a competitive game?

    Myers Park (12-11) vs Harding (20 -7) may be a little better than anticipated. I think Harding wins!

    This very well could be an upset or it could be an easy win from EM. I do think it will be a good game and if the shooters from ACR are on then it will be very close. ACR has two stars in post Whitney Brinkley and PG Karlee Taylor, these two need to get their averages from them to be successful and have a shot at winning.

    Curious as to how ACR will try and defend the speed of EM. If they try and man them up, it could be a long night for ACR.

    The 4A Sectional Finals are tonight...with the exception of the double header at Freedom (6:30 girls start) all sectional finals begin at 7 pm...

    Lead by 4 at half couldnt close the deal, cold 3 Q East meck Held the Ball a lot

    Ford 's 23 gave her 2502 to finish career

    Las t score I saw SC was losing

    SC lost by 12, 50-38. The team grew up some this week.
