10 games reported and 12 home runs including a grand slam. Does anyone else think that is a lot of HR's already?

you'd think it would be much smaller as pitching should dominate early. there were several hit at Enloe because I believe that field is very small.

    Expected

Most came for two games. Looks like they were no well matched teams. Give it a couple of weeks. HR will fall off some as pitchers settle in and learn about their opponents more.

    Enloe is a short field

JM15 is right. Enloe is ~320 down left field line but fence comes in to follow a creek - straight away center is ~300.

    Wilkes Central 15 Hibriten 4

Central won in 5 innings. No details from game. Central hit the ball real well. Pitchers from both teams struggled with control. Hibriten was held to five hits, all singles.

Bryant Noteboom's second homer of the game ended it in the bottom of the fifth.

@ S Lee. Not a ton of details. My daughter is now a full fledged baseball junkie since she drove all the way to Sanford to see the game and call in the score. I know Nick McBride started for Ragsdale not sure how many innings he went. Sounds like the whole staff pitched some. Think I heard Ben Fultz hit a solo HR.

One Putt probably went and should have some details.

South Meck 9 Charlotte Catholic 2

South Meck jumped on Charlotte Catholic in the first inning with 4 runs via the long ball. Derrick Rowe provided the power with a long 2-run HR. Robbie Baer also hit a towering shot in his first at bat for the Sabres while collect a single later in the game. Casey Gebhardt & Caleb Cunningham each had two hits a piece while Derrick Rowe collected 3 hits for the night, including his 2 run shot. Joseph Shealy (started) pitched 4 strong innings while only allowing 2 unearned runs. Michael Atz pitched the 5th & 6th innings while allowing 0 runs and Tyler Woods closed out the game striking out 2 in his one inning of work while not allowing a run. Spencer Shuey had a triple in his only at bat in the game. The Sabres play Lake Norman this coming Saturday at Lake Norman.
