    C.B. Aycock 11 Wilson Fike 9

    Tyler Ruffin's 3-run homer in the bottom of the seventh wins it for Aycock. Tough battle. Fike had re-taken the lead in the top of the seventh , 9-8 with 3 runs. Will Edgerton, Tyler Ruffin, Johnathon Taylor, & Nickolas McGee had 2 hits apiece for Aycock. Fike was lead by Tripp Sauls (3-4), Michael Mclawhorn (2-4), & Russell Ward (2-4). Both teams had 11 hits.

    Hickory wins 3-0. Kurt Hammons pitched a complete game shut-out against a much-improved Statesville team. Good luck to the Greyhounds this season!

    Defense was a little sloppy for both teams, but both teams hit the ball well. This one could have gone either way. David Anderson 2 RBI HR for Butler.
