    Mountain Scores from ACT:

    Reynolds 2, Roberson 1
Ryan Mayberry scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh on a fielding error by Roberson as the Rockets nipped the Rams. Jeremy Sluder (1-0) pitched a perfect seventh to seal the win.
Phillip Treadway and A.J. Risso each had two hits for Reynolds (1-0), and Treadway stole three bases. Anthony Iannetta had a double and scored for the Rams.

    Enka 10, Pisgah 0
Jets' senior Caleb Suddreth had nine strike outs and a no-hitter going through five innings before being pulled because of a pitch count as Enka cruised to victory.
Clay Hall had a home run, two doubles and four RBIs, and Conner Cox was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's for the Jets (2-0). Hunter Gant had the lone hit for the Black Bears.

North Henderson broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the top of the fourth, but the Warriors (1-0) took charge with four runs in the bottom of the inning.
Chris Seager and Chad Maynor each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Seager picked up the win on the mound for Erwin.

    Northwood over W. Harnett

    W. Harnett pitchers gave up 14 free passes, never a good thing, and Northwood banged out some multi-base hits. Jon Polak led Northwood with a 3-4 night with two HR's and a double, Matt Wade had two triples and Zack Groves smacked one out. Northwood did not have a single all night.
Pitching was typical early season, with Austin Brice throwing two solid innings before losing some control in the third. Kyle Hackney came in and pitched 2 and 2/3rds and Clay Martin finished up the final two innings. Sorry, I don't have the details for the pitchers.
A couple of recruiters were there taking in the game and checking out the players.

    Weddington - 9
    Richmond Co - 8

Nine innings. Bad defense by the Raiders. Three errors killed them. Weddington has a beast who tagged the light pole in right-center. Exciting game.

Beast was Anthony Boone who hit his first HR of the year. Wasn't at the game so don't have many details but here's what I have for Weddington:

Peter Hendel 5 innings on the mound left the game up 6-5 and runners on.
Clay Trescher went 2 innings and Yelverton went 2 as the game went 9.

    Boone HR (1)
    Yelverton 2-5 double
Collins 0-1, 3 walks and HBP

Weddington at Charlotte Latin today at 2
