    Why???

    Why would 18U teams be scrimmaging during High School Season? What if someone gets hurt??? Good Idea?

    I didn't see you comment about the N.D.scrimmages or the rest around the state. Hey if you going to get hurt you're going to get hurt !!

    I've Fallen... and I Can't Get Up...

    The reasoning that a HS player might get hurt while playing softball for travel teams is ridiculous. A player could get hurt getting out of bed, playing pickup volleyball at a graduation party or slipping on a grape in the grocery store.

    We currently have a player who's coach "forbid her" to play travel during the HS season with the above-mentioned reasoning. Gimme a break...

    It's ironic that the very thing that makes these kids such good players for their HS seasons is taken away from them by a HS coach that is afraid an injury with reck HIS/HER season.

    Only an issue if your daughter/son is a pitcher. No way its fair to your school or school team to wear yourself out pitching a couple of games on Sunday for your travel team and then be sharp for a Monday conference game. Seen it before and will see it again. Especially bad in baseball.
