East Meck Eagles--SW4A

Watch out for the Eagles this year and beyond. They're building for the future with 4 guys to watch out for. The Daniels brothers, Leighton (2010) and David (2011) play up the middle and both are hitting the cover off the ball. Olen Little (2010) and Lou Trosch (2011) provide the pitching. Things are definitely looking up for Coach Greeson.

Not to repeat everyone else, but that field also is second to none. It beats a lot of college fields and I can't think of a HS park around here that's better.

Ed Bryant would be proud!!!!

 

PD, you will appreciate this. The game I attended, I was telling a parent of a young player the Ed Bryant story. After I told him, I looked over to my right and guess who was at the fence ?...Kari and Tate Bryant! I barely recognized Tate. He has grown into a handsome young man...and Kari looks as good as ever. It was poetic to see them there at that time.

What an amazing story. Thanks Braves for sharing it. I had heard something about that homerun, but not the full story. I'm doing the PA for the Eagles this year and with your permission plan to read your post sometime this year. The current players and fans need to know the history of their very own Field of Dreams. Hopefully, these Eagles will do Mr. Bryant proud in their own way. As long as they love and respect the game, I'm pretty sure they will.

 

Although Coach Greeson deserves full credit for his field and program, I suspect one of the reasons he has continued to upgrade it is out of respect for Ed Bryant and his legacy.

What Ed has meant to the program at EM is something their supporters need to know about this year, next year and twenty years from now. There is a distinct reason there is a sign on the dugout that says "Ed Bryant's Field of Dreams"

 

Supporters of East Mecklenburg everywhere need to know that story. Heck, baseball fans everywhere need to know that story. I'll do my small part to make sure it happens for at least the next three at Ed Bryant's field of dreams.

 

Looking forward to SM playing there this year. Weather permitting ..... we will play there Monday. I plan on giving my respects to Ed while I am there! Thanks Braves for letting everyone know the story!

 

If I were Coach Greeson, I would lower the sign and make every player touch it before taking the field. I'm sure Ed wouldn't mind helping the players that honor his field. I've seen him do some amazing things!
