    By the way, J. Wakefield had 10 K's, April Pendleton had a HR and Double and 4 RBI's (no errors on that one). Both teams were hitting ball very hard. The 3rd base position was not a good position to be at today for both teams. There was a few errors on both teams. It was cold and rainy. Surprised game was even played. Anyway good luck to Freedom this year.

    April's older sister used to play ball for me way back when, so i remember April when she was much younger (notice i didnt say little, this girl has been tall since birth!!!!)

    East Surry vs Mount Airy

    After a 7 to 1 loss to Forbush Thursday night, the Lady Cards went to Mt.Airy determined to keep errors to a minimum and hits to the maximum. They did so, beating the Bears 12 to 1. Haley Shelton got the win with 11K's and only 4 hits. the LP was Courtney Wagner. Great job to all of the girls. Also just wanted to let everyone know that 2nd base Sam Smith is ok--She was involved in a collision with one of the Bears players--CT scan came back clean--The Dr. even said she had a normal brain!!!!-must take after her MOM!!! Just wanted to thank everyone who helped out and the calls of concern for her.
