    EM v AK

When the kids at East realize just how good they can be, the SW4A might want to take notice. After a first inning nightmare, which started with a walk, then a hit batter and included 3 errors and 4 runs, the Eagles stayed with AK step for step. In fact, they outhit the Knights 6 to 5 on the night. Following that dreadful 1st, Olen Little settled into a nice rythm and kept Knight batters in check. The Eagles batting line-up didn't seem intimidated by Ryan Butler. Of course SS Leighton Daniels stayed hot, but the real surprise continues to be lefty outfielder Christian Lee, who barely missed a 2 run dinger over that right field black monster.

As the game wore on you could see the realization that these young Eagles can play with anyone start to creep across the players' faces. Once that light bulb turns completely on, they're gonna be dangerous. Maybe a year from competing for the SW4A title, but dangerous as heck.

I bet the grass still hasn't grown back from where you dug ditches pacing back in forth while Ben pitched

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said, "They are still going to have to learn how to win the big games"

Apparently the lesson is over and the light bulb has come on. They have figured it out. They are definitely playing well and winning.
