    Jess Lancaster collected 3 hits for FC and Dillion Proctor goes 6 innings on the mound, striking out 12 while only giving up a bunt single in the 6th.

    Chapel Hill used timely hitting and took advantage of 6 Rocket errors to win this PAC-6 Opener. We must get our act together and improve to get on the right track.

    Lake norman came out swinging, but first Scottie Williams(2010) started on the hill throwing 44 pitches in 4 innings,talleying 4 k's and no walks before being relieved by Chris Long(2009) for an inning of work.

    Most Impressive................... Jack Edminston a freshman was called up yesterday to replace Senior Catcher Joe Faist because of an injury. Jack ended up going 2-3 with a double and a rbi while looking very good behind the plate!!!!!!!!!!!!:de-mote:



    Lake Norman now (5-1) 2-0 in conference will travel to West Iredell Tomorrow (weather premitting) at 4:30.....

    I hear that you had on your "walkin'" shoes. Pitchers have to know how to pitch with a lead. If they don't, this is what will happen.

    Congrats to Gibbons for not folding up when they were down.

    Let me clarify. Impact hasn't seen a HS game in the mountains since the kid from Roberson(most know who I am talking about) went to Clemson 2 years ago. Had NB ranked preseason and they have lost to two 2A teams back to back. Did somebody play for Impact? Had Brevard ranked this season and they lost their first 3 games. Did somebody play for Impact? I know Braves is gonna bust my chops over this but Impact knows nothing about mountain baseball and cannot accurately rank our teams. Andy needs to quit looking at his roster when making polls. Andy, there is a lot more baseball here in the mountains than a few kids that travel to play for you.

    Too many errors for an opening conference game.

    Wakefield crushed the ball with deep blasts but with Sanderson's dimensions (330, 400, 330) and solid outfield defense they are just pop flies.

    Sanderson has endowment game Saturday vs Cardinal Gibbons.
