yeah mike, it was a pleasure, starting pitcher was stacey biggerstaff, pitching her first game of the season and losing monique byrd in the first inning kinda slowed down our offensive game...wish girls wouldnt wear fake nails, especially when they get broken, makes it hard to stop the bleeding.

nice ball park also and some very polite kids

Cape Fear Valley 3A - Triton v. Western Harnett

    Triton - 10
    Western Harnett - 4

    WP Candace Faircloth 13K, 5 hits, 2ER
    LP Kerstine Womack 6K, 10 hits, 2ER

Triton took an early lead in 1st inning at 3-0. Western came back and grabbed the 4-3 lead after Sierra Holmes led off with a double, and double by Ashley Poulin brought Holmes across the plate. Stolen base by Poulin to 3rd and a walk by Jessica Cameron gave Womack the opportunity to bring Poulin home on a single. Errors on the Triton field provided Western the opportunity to bring Cameron and Womack home.

Unfortunatley, numerous errors on Western's defense during the 4th and 6th innings proved their undoing and Triton came out on top with the 10-4 win.

Triton's top offensive players: Kelsey Lee 3-4, Kerri Roberts 4-4, Candice Altman 2-4.

Western's top offensive players: Womack 2-3, Holmes 1-3 with a double, Poulin 2-3 with a double.
