    Tigers Playing Well!

    Congratulations to the Mt. Pleasant Varsity Softball team for their 16-0 shutout win today against CATA. With the win the Lady Tigers are 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the Rocky River Conference

    The winning pitcher was Taylor Carpenter. She allowed only two hits and struck out 5 while walking one.

    Leading Hitters for MP were:

    Allison Starnes who was 3 for 3 at the plate with two doubles and three runs scored.
    Lindsey Huneycutt, Georgia Parker and Taylor Miller who had two hits apiece. Huneycutt and Parker tripled while Miller had two RBI's.
    Jocelyn Parnell hit a two-run homerun in the second inning while going 1 for 1 at the plate.
    Alley Kindley also went 1 for 1 at the plate for the Tiger offense.

    Mt.Pleasant had 12 hits in the win and continued their great all around play. The Lady Tigers posted their 4th shutout win of the season. Congrats Lady Tigers, Keep up the great work !!!!!!

    Congrats to Liz Thomas and Sara Hansen for great pitching. The dynamic duo shared the mound again! It's going to be hard when this season is over......they've pitched together since they were 10. Liz has been accepted in the Honors Program at Appalachian State and Sara has been accepted at Carolina! Both extremely talented on the field and in the classroom!
    Valley hit well and played good defense. Proud of all my "daughters"!

    I don't know any of the stats other than my little DD, a freshman, had to tape on her new # today.........111!

    What a trip.

    WFR is somewhat rebuilding, they have graduated alot of current college ball players over the last couple of years, they are still a very talented group.

    Concord defeated Marvin Ridge 6-5, Casey Shue hit her 1st career HR, also Carlie Bodder hit a HR in the win.

    Central Cabarrus defeated W. Charlotte in a DH today, Fr. Mellena Helms pitcher her 2nd consecutive perfect game and also hit her 2nd HR of the year, also Fr. Alexis Bruce hit her 1st varsity HR and Chelsea Hartsell picked up the win in her 1st career varsity start.
