You're right it does matter because winning is winning for 12u kids and it builds their confidence and self esteem so they are able to compete and be successful not only in athletics but in life!!!! It's the adults that undermine the success they experience and belittle their accomplishments.

So.....Congratulations CV Storm 12u A,B, C , or D. You kids did well and coaches you obviously did well by your kids!!!!!

I'm glad that's all cleared up, considering it is a first year team finishing second in 12U and the coach wanted to thank his players and parents for dedication and hard work.

When these kids are playing 18U they will have played and won so many tournaments, will they remember if this one was A or B? They will remember the moments.

My DD has won A & B tournamnets including state and she will tell you it's the competition, the thrill of winning or pain of losing, memories of her teammates, roaming the hotel, cooking in the parking lot, making friends from all over the state, pursing the dream of college ball. To her A & B never really mattered at that age, she just wanted to hit the field and play.

Her college coach hasn't ask her how many 12U A games she won, I don't think she has ask about 12U at all.

So congrats to Blaze for their 1st Place finish and the CV Storm girls for their 2nd place finish (B). Most of all, my wishes are for all these girls to find much fun and create great memories as they continue to play softball!

    Go Storm

    I'll Say It Again !!

There aren't probably another group of girls that work as hard as the Storm Organization with their 3-4 hour practices on the weekends, and my pitchers would throw 24/7 if their bodies would allow them. Let me tell you a quick story, I have a 10 year old playing for me that slaps, her dad told me that this kid gets in the garage and slaps tennis balls hours at the time knocking things off the shelf because of all the bad weather we have had over the past weeks. He said he finally had to lock his garage because the kid would not stop practicing...I call that priceless...She had not 1 but 2 good slaps over the weekend that came at the right time. This kid is a jewel, and keep your eyes on her through the next 3-4 years !! My kids are young and they are taking a few knocks at the moment, but never take a win from them because if "A" or "B" it's still a win an accomplishment to those that work for it !!

    CONGRAT'S!

HEY GURU, VERY UNDERSTANDABLE...I STARTED WITH A 10/U GROUP 3 YEARS AGO-I STILL HAVE THE SAME GROUP AND I THINK THEY WOULD PRACTICE OR PLAY 24/7. WE'RE ALSO GOING THROUGHT A TRANSITION YEAR(GOING FROM 12/U TO 14/U) AFTER HAVING A VERY SUCCESSFUL 12/U YEAR (96W-16L). WE'RE SPONSORED BY 3UP/3DOWN BASEBALL/SOFTBALL ACADEMEY AND HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR INDOOR FACILITIES -MY GIRLS KEPT ME THERE LASTNIGHT FROM 6:30PM TO 9:15PM AND THATS AFTER THEIR MIDDLE SCHOOL GAMES. TO MY PLAYERS,IT'S NOT ABOUT "A" OR "B" ,IT'S ALL ABOUT THE LOVE OF THE GAME.
