Foard looks like the team to beat again this year. No disrespect to Hibriten or Saint, but Foard is tough top to bottom in the line up. I like what Coach Cook has going. Great coach, great players, supportive fans.

I think maybe the best pitcher/ catcher combo in the state as well as the best SS/ 2nd combo!!!!! Props to Mo ,Shania, Savanna and Kendall. Younger players should watch these ladies play to see how it's done.

Nathan, I'm not jumping the gun yet. Hibriten has Pope and she is throwing the ball very well. Saint is very good still in the running to win the conf. Don't forget about Bandy's. Mike always has his teams in the mix. We did play pretty good last night vs Saint. I guess we will see. Alot of games to play...

As an outside observer this is my take. The only three cvac teams I've seen are St. stephens, we played them and Hibriten and have watched Foard. As for pitching the edge here goes to foard with St. a close second. Defensively these three are pretty well even. The big edge in the three is in hitting which I give the advantage to Hibriten. They can hit it very hard 1-9. St. and Foard both have a few weak spots in their lineups and no real big guns like hibriten does. I look for them to win the cvac going away. Checking out our competition for next year as we will be in the conference with these three

scfan, I have to disagree with you. The Big Edge your talking about isn't the hitting its the pitching. Hibriten beat us by 1 in 11 inn. Mo did not pitch her best game. If she pitches like she pitched last night we will beat Hibriten April 6th. Saint lost to Hibriten by 1 on a error thats what I was told. Trust me Saint and Bandy's will challenge Hibriten as well as us. They want be running away with the conference.

    Be aware

Anybody can still win this Conference. Don't count out Bandy's they have a very good freshman pitcher who is working with Sharon Bailey. Also ya'll haven't seen what Saint can really do with there bats YET. Saint will bust out of it soon, as soon as they get there line-up straightened out (lead off batter has been out) + injuries heeled up. This season could even end up in a 4 way tie for 1st place. Anyway good luck to everyone the rest of the season.

    Step-up?

In the end it will all come down to who wants it more. Any team can be beat on any given day. Every player and coach will need to step-up their game to take the championship. Should be great softball, lets see who steps-up!
    Dad

PS. As for pitcher/catcher my vote goes to Saint! Who would have guessed that?

I will give credit, Julia and Stephanie are very good.

But, I have seen how Shania and Mariah can take control of a game and momentum. Like I said, no disrespect...heck my DD catches for NC. I told her to get better she must watch how Shania plays (all aspects of ) the game. The CVAC is loaded with pitchers and catchers.
