What a luxury to have Johnson and Goodwin on the same team. You know Hobbs isnt going to give up much-if any and Brian is going to get his. That was the first time I have seen him play- very fast and makes it look easy.

Actually I think its 3 doubles. I would have to give the CF an error on the bobble that allowed him to get into second. Needless to say- its going to take a solid hitting team to beat RM with Johnson on the mound. I wonder what Brian's batting average is against Joyner form NN?

    Creasy

it is just you. Creasy threw 1.2 IP vs Holly Springs with 21 pitches and threw 6 IP with 72 pitches on wednesday against East Wake. He has only thrown in 2 other games at south johnston and at garner.

Friday night in the Tri-8 Conference

    Athens Drive (1-1, 6-1) @ Fuquay-Varina (1-0, 2-4), 7pm
    Green Hope (3-0, 7-1) @ Apex (2-1, 5-1), 7pm
    Middle Creek (1-1, 5-4) @ Cary (1-1, 2-4), 7pm
    Panther Creek (0-2, 0-6) @ Lee County (0-3, 0-5), 7pm

I drove by Cary HS's field shortly ago and it looked like they are ready to go tomorrow night as long as the rain holds off. Tarps were covering homeplate, pitching mound, first base, second base, and third base. There was also a tarp covering the base path between 1st and 2nd. Practice had just finished.

I am a sucker for this conference since the teams who play in it are local to me, but it is wide open right now. Middle Creek "upsetting" Apex earlier this week really sends a message to everyone.

    Davie County @ Butler

    Davie County 0
    Butler 4

    DC 000 000 0 - 0 1 2
    B 200 110 0 - 4 7 1

Mitchell Rawlings gets the one hit shut out win for Butler and Shelton Howard takes the loss for Davie County. The War Eagles hit the ball very well, but the Butler defense was up for the challenge in this game. Both teams played good defense and put the ball in play, not many strikeouts.

Leading hitters - DC: Ryan Foster B: Tyler Tewell 2/3, Matt Varnadoe 2/3 2RBI
