    The Giants' top pitching prospect struck out four, including the formidable Manny Ramirez on three pitches. Bumgarner, San Francisco's first-round selection (10th overall) in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, threw two inside fastballs and a slider to retire the Dodgers slugger.
    Afterward, Ramirez was suitably impressed. "He's nasty," Ramirez said. Told that Bumgarner's only 19, Ramirez replied, "Unbelievable. He has a fastball and a curveball. He's sneaky. He throws hard."

    I don't give a darn what anyone says - 2 years ago in HS - now striking out Manny! What could have been going thru his mind when MR stepped up to hit.

    That's strong and impressive as heck!

    K- what a wonderful time you must be having...and what a wonderful adventure Madison is having. I just want to remind you a promise you gave me--okay-okay, maybe you didn't, but you should have--I want my tickets in Madison's suite when he makes his ML debut. One of those suites that has pretty waittresses and great food...oh, and a 62" HD TV, computer, global telephone and a connection phone to the clubhouse to let the manager know when I'm ready for him to bring in Madison.

    And in return, I will give Madison my thoughts and prayers.......................

    Yea, I really look forward to seeing you and Coach Edwards again this summer, and you know that we will find each other, unless you write me off, I just love the game way too much to miss a game.
    Hope that boy of yours is doing great also.

    Saw where Madison was promoted to double A Connecticut.
