    Here's the schedule!

    Saturday 11th
    Game 1 1:00 pm Pinecrest Vs Northern Durham

    Game 2 4:00 pm Eastern Wayne vs Ocean Lakes

    Game 3 7:00 pm Rose vs North Lenoir


    Monday 13th
    Game 1 1:00 pm North Lenoir vs Northern Durham

    Game 2 4:00 pm Ocean Lakes vs Rose

    Game 3 7:00 pm Pinecrest vs Eastern Wayne

    Tuesday 14
    Game 1 1:00pm Ocean Lakes vs North Lenoir

    Game 2 4:00pm Northern Durham vs Eastern Wayne

    Game 3 7:00pm Rose vs Pinecrest

    Tournament location is Guy Smith Stadium, in Greenville NC. Promises to be a great weekend of baseball! Those of you from out of town and coming, if you want some inside on good places to eat and such, send me a message.

    Obviously the matchups that look interesting are;
    Eastern Wayne vs. Pinecrest (7:00 Monday)
    Greenville Rose vs. Pinecrest (7:00 Tuesday)

    You can't take North Lenoir lightly either!
    Coach Montague just won his 300th victory last night against Goldsboro!:cheers2:

    My understanding is Oceal Lakes is a pretty sharp team... not sure if they play Carolina Ball or not... but we'll see!

    Eastern Wayne 2 Ocean Lakes 11

    Game 3 7:00

    North Lenoir 1 JH Rose 6

    Notes: No stats for you, but if yuou have them. please feel free to post'em up. Ocean Lakes is a solid team...no errors and doesn't really play a power type game, just a lot of base hits. Very sound defensively. Pinecrest looked solid as well, but N Durham put up a good fight with a young team. Their starting pitcher had a no hitter going 5 (if I remember correctly). Bass made a couple of sharp plays at SS. Rose scored in the first and then took advantage of walks and hits. New defensive lineup and new batting lineup for Rose... we'll see if it sticks. JHR defense played nice tonight and Danny Deters pitched the whole game.

    Looking forward to these next two games. Should be A LOT of fun!

    DAY THREE

    Game One 1:00
    North Lenoir 13 Ocean Lakes (Va) 0
    Spencer Bass throws complete game one hitter. Only hit was third pitch to first batter in the first inning.

    Game Two and Three Are rained out and agreed to upon coaches not to make up. PLENTY of great baseball played here this weekend, without a doubt. I am confident all the coaches were pleased with the level of competition and how their kids got pushed.

    Great turnouts and lots of folks in the stands for all games.
