I noticed one of the young ladies pictured from the Tiffany Crouse tournament was using a colored gloved. I had purchased a red and white liberty for my dd and it was not allowed. Any info would be appreciated.

I vaguely remember glove color discussion on a TBR post a while back. I think it applies to the pitcher--not the fielders.

    I noticed that too!

Actually all of the ND players had the same glove! Here is a photo courtesy of Shutterbug.....

The inside of the glove appears to be white. I may be mistaken but I believe that could be called illegal for a pitcher because it could distract a batter.

That's the one that caught my attention. I also wondered about the picture with the sleeve pulled over the thumb. Does it serve a purpose other than a fashion statement? I would bet under the right circumstance this may also be questioned. I'm not being obstinate or trying to create problems, it has just been my experience that pitchers are scrutinized far beyond what is reasonable. There are so many things with pitchers that do not give any advantage and should be ignored rather than allowed to become issues.

Had a situation in which a pitcher was wearing yellow long sleeves. Kids said they had trouble picking up the ball because it got lost in the color on release. By the time they talked about it a little they were convinced they couldn't see the ball at all.

in our conference this year, the umps seem to be concentrating on uniforms, underarmour and gloves. ya know, uniforms match, under garments all the same color and must be the MAJOR color of the uniforms, sliders matching in color, and the pitchers gloves, NEUTRAL in color. Now I agree with the pitchers gloves not being off color (yellow??), but we even had one ump tell me my third basemans glove was a first basemans glove and she couldnt use it???? thats a baseball rule, if you look in the softball rule book, you will only see a description of glove size with no mention of who can use what size at what position. So, off to raleigh with that decision, and we won that one.....a couple of years ago, a local hs team had been outfitted with wrist pads which had plays on it, and probably would have gotten away with it, except the pitcher went to the mound with it on and it was a distraction, just being on her glove arm. removed next game by raleigh. I really wish they would concentrate on the things that really matter, like consistant strike zones and correct knowledge of the slapping rule, things like that. but i agree, uniforms need to match.

    nike check

Uh oh.....in the picture above, the ump did not catch that the NIKE check was on the front left thigh instead of the right hip. Wait, her shoes are not NIKE approved? And "knights" are spelled with a "K". The glove is orange and white, but matches the uniform. The eye black may need to be changed to orange and white.
Is the ump in correct uniform? The one pictured here, his belt has a little sag to it. Did anyone ask the plate ump if his c*p is correct and will work.

    Only Answer !!

It's a judgement call by the umpire...there are no rules ,and since there are no rules the umpire can quickly make a decision if the gove is a distraction to the batter !!
