High School PA Announcers

I went to the links posted by countryboy17 to purchase some new material. On May 25th I ordered from Jonathan Swift productions in Jessup, Ga. three CD's, charged to may Visa and was e-mailed an order confirmation that the merchandise would be shipped in 2 to 4 days. I have not received and it has been almost three weeks. I e-mailed back to them and the e-mail was returned. I called the number listed on the order form and it has been disconnected. BEWARE of SCAMS..

I am very sorry to hear that you didn't receive your cd's as you ordered. I ordered that same set, but downloaded it online. ( I didn't request the cd's).
I received it promptly and had no problems.

I must say this: If you go back and read my post, I did not recommend this web site. Matter of fact, the cost
was around $20.00 and in my opinion, it's not worth it.
I would not recommend these sound bites as I only use
a few off the download and many you can download for FREE off this site.

I tried to call the 866 211 1169 number and it rang, but did not come back and say it was disconnected.
I'll keep trying and get back to you.
I don't believe this is a scam, because it is advertised on
the PA Announcers forum. I will help you all I can, but please know that I am not part of this nor did I recommend this site.

 

some don't have an announcer

it's a dead atmosphere when you go to HS games and there is no PA announcer.

 

I hope you didn't think I was pointing fingers at you because I wasn't. I just figured (with this economy)...another one bites the dust. I hope i am wrong.

 

To me, this is the worst thing to happen to baseball since the D/H.

 

Even worse is when the scoreboard "doesn't work" or there is just nobody to operate it.

I like the walk-up songs for each player personally.

just curious, what are your reasons for dislike of the walk-up songs? not sure how I feel about it. maybe too much attention on individual players, and taking away from the team thing?

 

No Announcer & No Hotdogs!

I like the idea that high school PA announcers are incorporating the sound effects & walk-up songs into the game atmosphere. It gives the game a minor league feel. I like for the PA announcer to announce the players coming up to bat and also the substitutions, so that fans can stay involved with the changes. If I see a good player from an opposing team I certainly want to know who he is. I took in the Fike/Beddingfield game last night & the experience was awful. No announcer, & no concession stand. Hey, I like my 2 hotdogs before each game. At least the scoreboard was working. Kinda tells you the current state of Beddingfield's program.

 

To me, if you introduce a player by name, that's enough. He doesn't need a theme song. But the H/s players probably want this because they hear it at the minor league games. ( Please tell me they're not doing this at the major league level )
