    that is hard on the soul, my dd, in her junior year, pitched a 9 inning thriller against north gaston, striking out 21 and losing also. the north gaston pitcher, kelie russel, struck out 19 and won the game on an error, 1-0.....which made it even worse on everyone....but a great effort on both pitchers.

    Marvin Ridge vs Country Day

    Marvin Ridge 15 Charlotte Country Day 0 in 4 innings.

    Caitlin Kurtz pitched a perfect game today striking out 10 in only four innings. Aslhley Christy 2-2 double 2 rbi's, Alexis Marko 3-4, Megan Robertson 2-2 2 rbi's, Erin Kayton 2-2 double 2 rbi's led Marvin Ridge at the plate

    alexander central beat bandys monday by the score of 7-0 .on tuesday achs beat south iredell 13-0. freshman chelsea wilkerson throws a perfect game with 15 k`s. next up for the #5 team in the nation is friday at ncsu ys sw randolph!

    Kalie threw a good game, our book showed two hits, Butlers leadoff hitter Erin Standley, who also had four stolen bases in the game, Got a single in the first inning and our number four hitter Chelsea Ingersoll hit a gapper in the fifth(?) that scored two runs
    AK had six hits and scored one. Kelsie Spurrier scattered the six hits and pitched out of a jam or two That and good "D" helped preserve the win for the Bulldogs.

    AC did get their revenge against McDowell today. The freshman pitcher is something to behold. She may even head toward another Chelsea (Leonard) or Morgan Childers type status, and may not be far away now? If you don't believe me, get out to see her pitch. No doubt she is loaded with ability, and obviously has worked very hard to get to this point.

    Alexander hit the ball, there were plenty of errors and plenty of runs scored. Really, that's about all that needs to be said.

    AC is definitely prepared to the utmost, so you've got to appreciate all the work that goes into it. I think it's something to learn from if you happen to be in high school softball. Kasey Pendley had the lone hit for McDowell.

    Freedom got everyone involved in this one, I think Bunker Hill was missing a couple of players. Freedom had 20 hits in the game Jasmine Conley got a 2 run Homerun.
