Marvin Ridge takes two

from Forest Hills in a Spring Break double header.

Justin Setzer pick up the win in game one throwing a no-no as the Mavericks won 10-0 in 5 innings.

Scott Shipman picked up the win in game 2 as the Mavericks won 9-0.

Marvin Ridge moves to 13-1 overall (10-0 conf.) with big games against Piedmont, Hickory Ridge and Charlotte Christian next week when they return from Spring Break.

 

Mallard Creek High beat Forestview High 13-3. sophmore catcher Blaine Lewis had two hits, double and home run, 2 rbi's and scored three runs. sophmore Mikal hill had two hits and scored two runs, Sophmore Michael Boles won his third game of the year and gave up five hits in six innings.

 

Weddington 2 Providence 1 in 10 innings

what a great baseball game. Very clean defense by both teams. Clay Tresher pitched all 10 for Weddington for the win.

Weddington wins it in the bottom with a lead off single by Danny Yelverton (1-4), ground out by Tresher to move Yelverton to 2nd. Brad Collins (3-4) singles to left to score Yelverton.

After getting a wake up call in Rocky Mount, Riverside bounces back against Wakefield winning 8-7. Riverside goes to 9-2 on the season and 6-0 in conference.

Next game is against East Chapel Hill on Monday.

After being down 11-2, Maiden got the bats going to tie this game up and go extra innings. St. Stephens got hot in the top of the 8th to score four runs and pull this game out.
