H.Penell 3 run homer.

Both pitchers duked it out in a game that should have been a classic.A few bad calls hurt both teams and kind of took away from a heckuva ballgame.Both teams should hold their heads up,you ladies took it to each other for 8 innings.I hate to see it end the way it did.

Freedom came alive with the bats. Freedom had 12 hits in the game and allowed 2 hits.

Freedom started out in the 1st inning with a 3 run lead but saw the game get tied in the 4th with a Whitney Keller 3 run HR.
The the Freedom bats went cold and Keller got two more rbi's in the 6th to seal the game. GOOD JOB WHITNEY!

Freedom won the Easter Tourn with a record of 3-1, they allowed 6 runs in 4 games and scored 41 runs. many rbi's put up and Hasson had 38 k's for the 2 days.

 

North Iredell-2

West Rowan -1 9 innings


Karley Harkey- 13 k's 0 walks and 2 hits. 2 outs from a perfect game and D got a little shakey

Leading hitters were Emily Riddle with a double and 2 runs scored and Taylor Rosenbaum with a triple. Harkey with a SMASH that glanced off the second basemans glove and actually went past the Centerfielder scoring Riddle from first with the winning run in the 9th . . It was a ROPE.

Raiders go to 7-2 in the NPC Sweeping West Rowan whom they had never beaten until this year.

Hats off to Sabrina Stephens who pitched great for West Rowan. Good Luck to the Falcons the rest of the year.

 

I hated to see it end that way to.

Freedom catcher, Brittany Harrell was 4-4 in this game with 5 RBI's. B hit .667 for the tourney, and collected 10 RBI's. Keep that up, BB!
