Northwood drops second game of the season to Cardinal Gibbons. Gibbons had two homers in the first couple of innings to establish a 4-2 lead that they made stand.

Southern Alamance 7 JF Webb 4

Murphy was WP and had close to 12-14 K's. Pitched very well
Newton was LP, but pitched very well, also.

Bottom line was Webb couldn't handle bunt. 4 errors on bunts. 6, possibly all 7 runs scored directly as a result of over throws on bunts. Hits were close to even with Richmond homering for Webb.

I was very disappointed in Southern's actions from a couple of players and a couple parents. They are very voicetrous bunch, and toward their own players fine, but when you start in on other teams players by directly singling someone out ( yes parents as well), there is a problem there. The celebration spilled out into centerfield of our field, with 1 player doing backflips. That was a first for us. I guess when you've won as much as they have in the past, that entitles you to act a little different than others.
