For those of you who are still seeking an opportunity to further your careers, don't miss your chance to see some outstanding D3 baseball this weekend in Greensboro. Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) comes to town to play a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday at Greensboro College.

BSC (www.bsc.edu) has, in two years time, risen to the top of their division in the SCAC. They finished 10-5 in conference games and are currently 26-9 overall.

BSC ranks as one of the top academic institutions in the state of Alabama. As a student, you will be challenged! At the same time, you are given the tools and every opportunity to succeed. The school is purposely growing to about 1600 students. It's an excellent place to experience the best of both worlds since large universities are nearby (UAB and Alabama).

Coach Jan Weisberg is a former player and long time assistant at the University of Kentucky. He, his staff, and the baseball facilities at BSC are top notch (D1 caliber) in every way.

My son is a student there now and played last year for BSC. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I plan on going Sunday. I think the games are at War Memorial Park.

Coach Weisberg is an absolute top notch individual. Very solid Christian man who really wants to be a role model and good influence on his players.

I had an opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic with Coach Weisberg and could not have been more impressed.

Indeed, he came back from that trip really stoked about taking the team down there on a mission trip. That would be awesome if he could work that out.

    He's not a bad raquetball player either.....:stooge_moe:

Excellent player nice swing from left side, runs well (6.8) and is very solid defensively. Can play middle INF or OF at the college level. I would love to talk to any coach interested in him, he has some schools that have shown interest, but I believe he would be a true steal. He has many intangibles that would attract a college coach to him, guts and savy. Not a vocal player but workman like and he quitely gets the job done.

I'm sure that Coach Weisberg would be glad to meet him. Have him contact Coach at [email protected] or come to Greensboro this weekend.
