Walk off HR in the 7th for McDowell. Six HR's hit in tonight's game. Unfortunately for us, McDowell hit the last and most important one. Good game from two future conference foes starting next year.

Maiden(9-6) jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Justin Sizemore's grand slam to right center. But then the Devils could not find the strike zone and walked too many batters and made errors at the wrong time; and Hickory would add a hit or two in the inning to run away with this game.

Green Hope hosts Panther Creek Friday.

DJ Thomas takes a no hitter into the 6th, and Scott Crane finishes for the combined 2 hitter. Stephen Kallianos homers as the Pirates stay undefeated in the Pac-6 and move to 10-2 overall.

Tuesday:

WF-Rolesville 8 (9 innings)

Ari Seelinger had a solid outing on the mound, but Riverside kicked the ball around defensively for the first 4 innings, and freshman Dusty Tatum pitches the last 4 innings to pick up his first win as a varsity pitcher. DJ Thomas has 2 doubles and 4 RBI, while Brian Burgess hits a LONG home run and has 3 RBI. RHS moves to 11-2 on the season.

Next game is Friday @ 7pm @ Southern Durham High School.
